Cuisinart coffee filters

Put off purchasing too long. Don't wait over 3 months to replace. Coffee so much better with new filter

Exactly What I Was Looking For

by Brian Quinlan from on 2010-08-29
My coffee filter was falling to pieces so I had to replace it. (I guess I should replace it regularly, but I am too poor!!!) I was worried this may not be the right coffee filter, but it was.

very happy with the product

I could not get the filters locally and the price at Amazon was the same as locally.

If you love really good coffee, you need these filters.

by Susanna Hutcheson from Midwest U.S.A. on 2010-08-12
One reviewer said if you already filter your water you don't need these. Well, I understand their thinking and appreciate the reasoning. I disagree, however. I love really good coffee. I grind each pot fresh. I buy the best beans I can and everything I use to create my drink is the best. I use PUR filters to filter all my water. But I take it a step further and use these little gems to filter the water yet again in my coffee maker. Is it overkill? Well, you be the judge. To me, it's not at all. These filters do a wonderful job of helping you achieve a perfect cup of coffee. And the price listed above is the best I've found --- Abes gives great service if you buy from them. I buy three boxes (six filters) at a time. That generally last a year. Highly recommended. - Susanna K. Hutcheson

good choice

This was a replacement for a DeLonghi product and so far is way superior to the DeLonghi. Delicious coffee and easy clean up. So far so good.

I Loved it -- untill it died

by Hank from United States on 2010-09-07
After going thru so many coffee makers over the years I saw this one 5 1/2 years ago and had to buy it. I figured with the Cuisinart name this beauty would be worth the money and more than just a "pretty face". It was more money than I have ever spent on a coffee maker but I loved the look of it so I went for it. Now after 5 1/2 years it stopped working! For the price and the "built like a tank" construction I am dissapointed it didn't last longer. Am I asking too much? I just would have expected 10 years from a $99.00 list price coffee maker that is used 5 days a week to brew 1 pot of coffee. I think it's the on/off switch, but it's more than I want to bother fixing myself and to have it fixed now-a-days probably gets close to buying a new one. I would have given it 5 stars if it was still working because after all these years I still like it better than any coffee maker I have ever owned. It makes great coffee and it still looks like brand new (I have the all black-matte finish) Soooo the reason I'm here at Amazon is to buy another one just like the old one! Amazon's price and the $10.00 rebate will make it cheaper than the 1st one. I guess you can see I still recommend it even though it stopped working. It's not perfect...but "It's close enough to perfect for me".... as the song goes.

Sturdy. Easy to Use. No spills.

by J. Minck from New York, NY on 2010-09-07
I've had this coffee maker for a couple weeks and am happy with it. PROS: * No spills. I have no problem filling the tank or pouring coffee. You have to be able to flip the lid all the way up and lean in close to the machine. The target for filling the tank is small. * No burns. The steam when pouring the coffee isn't directed toward the handle, as it was on a prior (horrible) coffee maker. * Very nice looking machine. The chrome shows finger prints, so the stainless may have been a better choice. * The pause-and-pour feature works without drips. * Easy to use. CONS: * No see through indicator showing the volume of water in the tank. You either have to measure in the carafe or look down into the tank for fill-markings. I knew this buying the coffee marker, but it's more of an annoyance than I expected. * No brew-strength settings. * The clock is small and hard-to-read except with good lighting (or younger eyes?).

Great Coffee Maker, but.....

by A. Calcagno from on 2010-09-07
I love this coffee maker! I did extensive research, both on Amazon and an independent consumer site before making this purchase. I've owned a Cuisinart in the past, so that helped make my decision. Many of the issues that were cited in previous reviews were addressed in the manual. I have to say that the manual is very comprehensive. The machine makes great strong (as I like it!) hot coffee. It is very easy to clean, program and work, and fits compactly under a cabinet (thank you to the reviewer who supplied all the specs!). Now, here is my "but". An independent review, while extolling the virtues of this machine, also stated that Cuisinart coffee makers usually last a maximum of 2 years. My previous one of this type lasted 4 years, but in the interim, I owned a Cuisinart percolator which lasted about 6 months. So, I'm keeping my fingers crossed that this one lasts.... and lasts. Good luck to us all.

Best Coffee Maker, Cuisinart

by Noemi Nesbitt from on 2010-09-07
Best Coffee Maker, coffee brews quickley and tastes better than coffee house brews. Auto shut off is great for busy families. You can also set timer and coffee is ready before you get out of bed. Highly recommend this unit. This is our second one, first unit lasted 8 years before it quit working. Can't beat the price either! Love It...!

Really good cup of coffee!

by Kat from on 2010-09-06
I love this coffee maker! Makes a pot of coffee really fast. Coffee isn't bitter so I can cut down on the sweetener I use. I wasn't sure if I would like the black chrome but it looks really cool! I have hard water and I like the idea of the filter. Time will tell if that helps keep the calcium deposits down. Hopefully the cleaning feature will help, also.

Good, quick, hot cup of coffee

by Jeff Smith from Fort Worth TX on 2010-09-07
My mornings got much earlier this year, leaving me no time to drink coffee before leaving the house. Therefore, I only need one mug, ready to go when I am, not a whole pot to keep filling my cup throughout the morning. This coffee maker provides that convenience and eliminates waste, both of counter space and coffee. It brews very quickly -- maybe five minutes -- but gets very hot and stays hot in the mug for 45 minutes or so. The mug handle is a little flimsy, so I am learning to hold it carefully. The permanent coffee filter and assembly clean in seconds and I can have the next day's coffee ready to brew in just a minute or so. This coffee maker is perfect if you only need one quickly brewed mug at a time.

Very nice - a bargain for the money

by Todd W. Arnold from Charlotte, NC USA on 2010-09-07
I've had this little coffeemaker for about a week, and it does everything I want. It brews a good cup of coffee, quickly, one at a time. The coffee is quite hot. The only think I would like to see changed is to make the water tank removable so you can take it to the sink and fill it instead of bringing the water to the coffeemaker and pouring it in.

great coffee

by georgia in tennessee from on 2010-09-06
This is an excellent one cup coffeemaker. One key to good coffee is heat and this product brews hot. The mug (included) keeps it hot for a long time. You can't beat this price, especially when compared to the other one-cup coffee makers out there which are over $100!! Others noted problems with spillover and this is not an issue if you use the mug itself to fill.

I really like this product. It is a way to brew coffee to the strength I prefer. It also gives me the one cup a day that doctors say you should limit yourself to. Easy to use and maintain.

The XP OS is not a system hog, so I would not worry about it too much. In fact, the default paging file should be fine. You could however upgrade your RAM to 1GB. You would see a good performance boost, and it would also help you not worry about your paging file as much.
