Brita filter cartridges

by Paul Kahan from on 2010-08-21
The Brita pitcher and filters are great! I used to use Pur, and it drove me nuts. The filter wore out quickly and took forever to filter the water into the pitcher. The Brita filter is fast and lasts much longer before needing to be replaced.
Filter doesn't fit

by Brina from on 2010-08-16
I received the Brita filter as a wedding gift. To my surprise, the filter does not fit. The water just runs around the filter into the pitcher which defeats the purpose. I am very disappointed.
Brita Filters.... Exactly!

by Basil Nestor from on 2010-08-15
If you want Brita filters for a pitcher, these are them. They came fast. They came right. I'm pleased. No need to review the filters themselves (or delve into the intricacies of Brita vs. other brands) except to say that Brita filters make water taste better.

Nesco FC-75PR 700 Watt Food Dehydrator

We bought this to give as a gift. The person is thrilled with the way it works. When our old dehydrator dies we will buy this one for ourselves.
Poor design - didn't work for me

by Piano Instructor from OH USA on 2010-08-27
I've used a dehydrator for years to dry herbs from my garden which I use all year long. I like the idea of drying them at a lower temperature. The colors shouldn't darken.
This was not my experience. I cut fresh sweet basil from my garden to dehydrate. I layed them in a single layer and set the dryer to 95º. Two days later, they were wilted, but not in the least bit dried. I hiked the temperature to 105º and let it continue drying. Mind you, the unit was operating 24/7. After five more days, the leaves were still not dry; some of them were still just wilted, especially the ones in the bottom trays where there were fewer leaves. I turned the unit up again, this time to 155º. After another 4 days, I checked them. The leaves should crumble when dried. The leaves are still flexible - kind of like paper leather.
I called Nesco and explained my dilemma. They suggested I return it. She said the basil should have dried in 24 hours.
That wasn't my experience. I would not recommend this unit. I don't like the heating unit on the top. Everyone knows that heat rises. Maybe that's part of the problem. The moisture certainly didn't leave the unit when it was in operation 24/7 for 11 days.
My original unit was a Magic Chef from Walmart. I liked the unit because the heater and the fan were in the bottom. The trays were adjustable to different heights. The unit would dry herbs within 24 hours. I wish I could get another one like that.
I THINK TERI JOHNSON WOULD LOVE THIS DEHYDRATOR!

by J. Hatcher from The Great USA on 2010-08-26
When I buy something I do a LOT of research, 'cause I absolutely despise both wasting money & of course those dang "Nat-Zees"... Trust me on this one folks, this is well worth every cent & perfoms as advertised! I made jerky using a basic recipe my crew dog Tom "I think I just pooped my pants 'cause I'm so dang old" Bolling gave me & it makes store-bought jerky taste like a dog turd wrapped in burnt hair... Seriously, you'll take one bite of perfectly cured/dried jerkey from this machine & think you just got done eating Rock's ma's calf muscle... It's just that good! Buy this dehydrator & amaze your friends when you bring in some dehydrated meat straight from gary Firestone's Brokeback Barn...
p.s. If you want a GREAT food dehydrator, look no further folks!

great dehydrator

by V. TRAN from San Jose, CA on 2010-08-25
I own a very similar model and really only purchased this for the 5 trays. I gave my mom the top and bottom since she had a really old model (10+ years) and it was compatible with her trays. Nothing bad to say - I expect them to last forever.

Good Value

by Stephanie E. Poff from Anaheim, CA on 2010-08-28
We previously owned a black & decker dustbuster before this one. They work great for about 3 years if you use them a lot like we do. The battery usually starts charging less and less over time. They are not ment to last long term and you cant just buy a new battery. For the price it fits the use you get out of it. This one is cool because it has a washable filter. This is great for many reasons. You dont have to buy extra filters which can be expensive unless you find them for a great deal on ebay but also because they stop making the models after a year or two and it can be a challenge to find the replacement filters. This one is also cool with the extendable hose which makes it easy to get under small hard to reach places.
Nice vacuum

by JGM from ODB, TX USA on 2010-08-22
Over the years, these cordless vacuums have really improved. The Black and Decker 9.6 Volt Cyclonic-Action Dustbuster is a real winner. It is light and powerful. So good that I have given two of these as gifts.
Will the Dustbuster pick up everything? No, of course not. Reading the reviews of not only this vacuum but many other portables, I found that sometimes negative reviews were based on unrealistic expectations for a small portable vacuum.
For the price, this dustbuster is a nice way of cleaning up light spills. I highly recommend it.
Works great other than filter being clogged easily

by K. Brown from Jacksonville, FL USA on 2010-08-18
I got this mostly for quick cleanups in the mudroom where you come in from the garage. This is also the room with the clothes dryer so bits of lint tend to be scattered around after a clothes wash and dry. It works great for this except for the fact that the filter seems to get clogged pretty quickly. Not sure what could be done to keep this from happening but it is a bit annoying. Other than that minor item the vacuum works great.
great value

by Wally Kohl from Lincoln City, OR on 2010-08-11
the product arrived quicker than I planned and works beautifully.
Definitely an improved design from the 7.2 volt unit that the batteries died on after many, many years.
I would recommend this unit to anyone. It is light weight, easy to use, and powerful for its size.
Don't judge it by it's price

by M. Litzenberger from Philadelphia....ugh, PA on 2010-08-10
I've owned Dustbusters pretty much since they first came on the market, including a really fancy one with a snap on electric bush attachement. However, for suction, this is the best one yet! I can't see how one costing twice as much can offer much more in the way of suction because this one has more than enough. At the price being charged, it's almost a giveaway. Highly recommmended!!!

Every baby is different. My 2nd was breech up until the last moment and when he finally went head down for the second time I chose to be induced so I wouldn't have to have a c-section. He went head down the day before I was induced.
